A miniature gouache

I painted this miniature gouache painting of Kingfishers for an upcoming miniature exhibit. Little paintings take some patience with little brushes!

    Real kingfishers (from where ?) or simple abstraction ?

      Well, I guess I would say real kingfishers but with a new setting chosen by me, thinking it's a right one!

    I think this bird probably is Megaceryle alcyon, American kingfisher.
    Have a look there : avibase.

    Yes, the Belted Kingfisher was my goal! Native to America.
