Bongo Etching

Since my art center moved to a new location a few months ago, I hadn't attempted to make an etching due to a lack of water in my studio. Well, I really wanted to make one of the bongo so I thought I'd give it a try at the new place. After many trips fetching water from the bathroom down the hall from my studio, I finally completed this etching. I can't say it was an easy task! And quite a balancing act! Not only that but I also added the aquatint. And I'm thinking about doing it again! It's a bit crazy.

  1. Thé point of view could seem strange, but the coat is so fine! !

    1. The time of day and the point of view at the zoo caused a large distracting shadow which I did not include. I had a big debate in my head about that!

  2. The titles of your works are so creative!
Also, so informative! Actually, I think the view of the Bongo tugs at your heart.....

    1. I know, I have a way with words! I am a bit creative sometimes but other times it's a struggle. If I do more bongos, I'm going to have to put on my thinking cap!
Thanks for your comments Randy. They encourage me to do more etchings!
      :-)
