Have you ever seen a butterfly plant? Oh, it is very unusual and difficult to find. They bloom only for a short time where a pond is shallow and the small fish swim gently near the warm surface. Almost silently. Near dawn.

Thanks so much for your nice comments! I had thought at one time to be just a butterfly artist because I love them so much but I keep getting distracted by birds! Usually I am working on my printimaking but I have found a love for the colors and texture of gouache paint. Painting can be a fun break from all the technicalities of printmaking, especially etching. Good wishes to you in Australia and thanks for visiting!
