This is a photo from the local newspaper about the center where I have my studio. It remains closed while investigators determine the cause of the blast. It originated in a small hallway that contains electrical panels just off of the interior corridor. One studio was severely affected and some others, I'm not sure yet. Lucky for me my studio wasn't affected, even by the sprinkler system! I'm happy that there were no festivities that evening. But I don't know when we'll be able to return to work there.

Lilypads
I made this miniature linocut a few years ago after I visited a local pond full of lilypads. I've always loved them and imagine and sometimes see all sorts of interesting pond life around them. These small linocuts are a real challenge because you have to use your smallest tool. And then you have to make sure all of the colors line up just right when you print it, just like larger prints!

2 French cats and 1 American
If I wanted to paint cats, which I'd like to do sometimes, I could paint these French cats that I saw in France a few years ago. Walking through the village of Trebes on the Canal du Midi in the south, I saw several relaxing on window and door sills, which probably isn't unusual. Maybe waiting for something to open!
Then a painting I started of one of my cats, Sylvester. Brings back good memories.
