Unfinished gouache painting

The start of a little gouache painting with the idea from a friend's writing.
Oh the places you pass by.
I love the colors on the dark Canson drawing paper.
It can be a challenge because the paint dries so quickly, especially on the palette.
Now to think about how much detail is needed!

  1. This landscape is looking so scottish ...
Quite purple skyline, wide space gently winded, peaty rivers and many stags close to the narrow tracks ...

  2. I'm trying, with the help of a certain photo and the writing. And the imagination!
But it's good to hear this from someone who has seen this "passing place"!
